ARE YOU FAN ENOUGH TO ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE OF....... THE PANTS GAME? The most fun you can have with another person's pants without them knowing!!
Yes Folks, there's a brand new craze sweeping the hockey fan bases! (It will! I swear it will!! =; ) allow me to elaborate, with....
THE HISTORY OF THE PANTS GAME
A few years ago, me and a group of (female!) friends were on the same bowling team at a Kidz Of Steel bowl with the players event (yes, once upon a time these mythical things actually happened!!), and began innocently looking around at the scenery while sitting waiting to bowl (OK, eying up players in nearby lanes). We discovered that, during the average bowling movement, certain areas become more prominant to those behind the bowler (ie, you get a great view of their ass). And so The Underpant Game (The Pants Game) was born.
THE OBJECT OF THE GAME
No, not (as one person thought) to talk person in question out of said pants, but to guess what kind they are wearing. There can be any number of players in the game, of either sex, who all together take a pre-determined viewing time (anywhere from 10secs-several hours, entirely up to you). Each player then takes it in turns to call. Depending on how competitive your game is, you can either all write down your call, or take it in turns to say it (not too loud, obv, as this gets you VERY strange looks). The calls can be any one of the variety listed below:-
"Boxers" Players making this call believe that the person in question is wearing boxer shorts under their trousers.
"Y-Fronts" Players making this call believe that the person in question is wearing Y-fronts under their trousers.
"Pants" Players making this call believe that the person in question is wearing pants under their trousers (Americans/Canadians can be confused by this call, believing it to mean the person is wearing two pairs of trousers). In certain versions of the game, "Pants" also stands for Y-fronts as well as pants.
"Commando" Players making THIS call do so for a variety of reasons:- (a)Players genuinely believe that the person in question is wearing no underwear at all. (b)Players making the call really fancy person in question, and so *hope* person in question is wearing no underwear at all. (c) Players making the call have no idea at all, and going on no/too subtle signs of other underwear daren't guess anything else, so call "Commando" as a "safe" option.
Thong/G-string/etc are NOT allowed calls. A suspected thong/G-string/etc should be called as "Commando". Most of the time other players DO NOT want to know that you suspect their hunk of eye candy is wearing a thong/G-string/other girlie-style pants. KEEP QUIET, CALL "Commando".
Decisions should only be made from information gathered from the viewing time. Some players find viewing from all angles helps, but traditionally the decision should be made from viewing the back of the person from their waistband to their knees.
WINNING THE GAME
Once everyone has made their call in one of the ways stated above, calls are tallied, and the winning call is awarded the pre-determined amount of points. For example:- In a game played by 10 people, where the pre-determined points awarded was 5 per win, 5 people call "Boxers, 2 call "Y-Fronts", 1 calls "Pants" and 2 call "Commando". The winning call is therefore "Boxers", and so those 5 people each collect 5 points. The game can end either when a person reaches a pre-defined number of points (say, 100), or after a certain length of time/number of people have been guessed. In the event of a draw between calls, BOTH calls get 1/2 the points (for example, 2.5 points instead of 5).
Many people ask why the game is played in this fashion, as it is purely based on personal opinion of the players, there are no definate correct/incorrect answers. To those people I say:- How would you like it if someone came up to you and asked you to settle a bet as to what kind of underwear you were wearing??? This leads me to The Golden Rule:-
NEVER ASK THE PERSON IN QUESTION WHAT UNDERWEAR THEY ARE WEARING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This game is purely a bit of fun, something to give hours spent ogling players a sense of purpose. AT NO TIME should you settle an arguement over which call is correct by asking the person in question what underwear they are wearing. EVER. Not only does this ruin the game, but it will really embarrass the person in question, and make you look a right idiotic stalker-type. DON'T DO IT. Draws are perfectly acceptable in the game, as people still get points, so it really doesn't matter anyway.
PENALTIES
Penalties can be awarded during the game. In the event of a player's call not winning and them getting stroppy coz they're sure they are right, they can be awarded one of the following penalties.
Misconduct:- banned from calling the next person. Usually awarded for exessive whinging/sulking, or exessively declaring penalties on other players by way of hidden (or obvious) bitchery/bullying.
Game Misconduct:- banned from calling the next person, points deducted (usually double whatever the awarded points are. So, in a game played for 5 points, 10 points are deducted) and awarded to others.(other players get half of points awarded. So, in a game played for 5 points, players other than the penalised player get 2.5 points). Usually awarded for exessive whinging/sulking + personal attacks on another player/ignoring of the rules/false accusations of cheating by other players/petty complaints.
Bringing the game into disrepute:- Ejected from the game (they can still sit with you, but not play in any way), all points deducted. Called only in extreme circumstances, eg, attempts/threats (whether carried out or not) to break The Golden Rule.
Penalties must be called in this way:-
One player brings up the penalty, and states which player it should be against. They must then be agreed with by a minimum of 2 other players(in the event of a small game, decide beforehand how many people must second the penalty). Should the majority second the penalty, it is awarded. Should the penalty givers be in the minority, they can plead their case (for 1min only) to the rest of the group. The penalty is then re-stated by the orginal statee. If once again they are in the minority, the penalty is waved off. If they are in the majority, the penalty is awarded and appropriate action is taken. A player may only bring up a penalty against the same player once, in an attempt to reduce bitchery/bullying. Players may second penalties against the same player as often as they wish.
Above all, remember The Golden Rule, and the fact that The Pants Game is just that:- A GAME. If played properly, in a light-hearted fashion, this game is the most fun you can have with a person's pants without them knowing! Don't lose friends over it!! |
